One of the most fun projects I’ve ever worked on! I did a piece for “Eight Forty-Eight” on a Chicago History Museum exhibit of couture designs owned by prominent Chicagoans and linked it to the growing local fashion scene.
I wrote about the designers behind Creatures of the Wind as they were on the cusp of fame.
My first cover story for the Reader, about an Oak Park man who took it upon himself to save and publicize the work of Prairie School architect John Van Bergen and other endangered buildings–but did not always find his efforts to be appreciated.
